Volleyball Recap: Trimble Has No Trouble Against Belpre

Trimble had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Belpre on Wednesday. The Tomcats put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Monday.

Trimble walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-19, 25-19.

Brooklyn Burdette paced Trimble's offense, picking up 15 kills. Burdette got some help from Abby Henry and her 13 assists. Henry also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rilynn Fouts, each putting up four.

Trimble is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Belpre, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trimble will square off against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on October 2. As for Belpre, they will be playing at home against Frontier at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
