Baseball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Takes a Loss

Penn Yan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-2 to the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Blue Devils since on Thursday.

Penn Yan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mynderse Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Penn Yan Academy and Mynderse Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 445th) will meet Wayne (ranked 213th) at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Mynderse Academy will challenge Palmyra-Macedon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (318 vs. 124).
