Kress had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Claude Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-1 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Drew Morphis, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Burns, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

Kress always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .536 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Kress' record is now 7-9. As for Claude, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-1.
