Basketball Recap: Thomas Jefferson Piles Up the Points Against Montbello

The matchup between Thomas Jefferson and Montbello on Friday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Thomas Jefferson Spartans blew past the Montbello Warriors 69-38. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Shane Curry, who went 8 for 19 on his way to 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals. His evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Pickens, who posted 11 points and six boards.

Thomas Jefferson smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.
