Recap: Compass Academy vs. Kermit Yellow Jackets
Compass Academy struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (the Kermit Yellow Jackets had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Compass Academy took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kermit. Compass Academy has struggled against Kermit recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Compass Academy still got an impressive performance from Lindsey Ruiz, who scored 12 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ruiz has scored all season.
It was another big night for Ebbin Mallory, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds for Kermit. MICHAELA CAZARIN was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Compass Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kermit, they pushed their record up to 14-12 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home.
Compass Academy will take on Alpine at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Alpine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Kermit, they will head out on the road to challenge Crane at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crane is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
