Basketball Recap: Greenport Takes a Loss

Greenport lost against Bridgehampton back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greenport Porters took a blow against the Bridgehampton Killer Bees, falling 71-37. The Porters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bridgehampton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Harding led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Davis, who went 7 for 13 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Greenport now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Bridgehampton, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Shelter Island the next time they take the court. Bridgehampton will head out to face Shelter Island at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Greenport will host them at 6:15 p.m. on January 28th.
