Fremd waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 35-6 win over the Wauconda Bulldogs. Considering the Vikings have won five games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lily Mayer had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 274 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes, and also rushing for 55 yards. Another player making a difference was Suzanna Grosman, who picked up 77 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Fremd proved: they limited Wauconda to a paltry 3.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Jill Simonian for the heroic effort on defense: she. Fremd didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.2.

Fremd's defense didn't let Zithlaly Duran., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Payton Kemeny and MacKenzie Drake, who racked up all four sacks between them. Drake is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Fremd got some further help from Christina Angerame: she made five total tackles and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Fremd's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Wauconda, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Fremd has already played their next matchup, a 33-12 defeat against Carmel on the 20th. As for Wauconda, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-14 win against Addison Trail on the 20th.
