Jane Ixcoy posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. She struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game.

Ixcoy and Maywood CES will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Torres at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
