Basketball Recap: Houston Comes Up Short

Houston won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by the Kotzebue Huskies 51-19. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Huskies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kotzebue, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Houston will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chugiak at 7:30 p.m. As for Kotzebue, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lumen Christi at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lumen Christi's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Kotzebue's offense will have their work cut out for them.
