Baseball Recap: Hunters Lane Takes a Loss

Hunters Lane had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 3-13 to make it four. They lost 14-4 to the East Nashville Magnet Eagles. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 12-3 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chris Kendall was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

As for East Nashville Magnet, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season. The result was nothing new for East Nashville Magnet, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

On East Nashville Magnet's side, Jachaun Taylor made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Alexander Griffey was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chauncey Anthony, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Hunters Lane nor East Nashville Magnet have any future games scheduled.
