Thousand Islands lost to Beaver River on Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Vikings blew past the Beavers 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Thousand Islands' win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Beaver River, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Thousand Islands will challenge Hammond Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver River does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
