Volleyball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian lost against Maroa-Forsyth back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks fell 2-0 to the Trojans.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9.

Alyssa Meisenhelter paced Meridian's offense, picking up four kills. Meisenhelter got some help from Gigi Pramuk and her six assists.

Sydney Pottala was the offensive standout of the match as she had six digs and three assists.

Meridian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-18 record this season. As for Maroa-Forsyth, their victory bumped their record up to 19-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meridian will face off against Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maroa-Forsyth, they will take on Mt. Zion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
