Battle Ground is a perfect 10-0 against Heritage since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Battle Ground will head out to challenge Heritage at 4:30 p.m.

Last Saturday, Battle Ground and Port Angeles finished up their game with an 8-8 draw.

Meanwhile, Heritage waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 25-10 victory. That's two games straight that the Timberwolves have won by exactly 15 runs.

Jaila Ellis was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Loreli Medina Cardenas, who scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jaleigh Zabel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .673. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Heritage pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. With that draw, Battle Ground's record moves to 1-1-1.

Battle Ground beat Heritage 8-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Battle Ground since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
