Basketball Recap: Edison Skates Past Pinecrest Glades Academy with Ease

There's no place like home for Edison, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Pinecrest Glades Academy Dragons 50-18 on Friday. The Red Raiders pushed the score to 44-9 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dragons cut but never quite recovered from.

Izaiah Robinson went supernova for Edison, going 8 for 12 on his way to 21 points and six rebounds. Steven Juarez was another key player, putting up eight points.

Edison smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Edison's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, their loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Edison will take on First Baptist in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinecrest Glades Academy and Westwood Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Westwood Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Pinecrest Glades Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
