Baseball Recap: E.E. Smith Golden Bulls vs. Western Harnett Eagles
E.E. Smith was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Western Harnett Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-4 last Tuesday.
Jammari Roscoe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
E.E. Smith's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Western Harnett, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-12.
E.E. Smith will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westover at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd. The Golden Bulls are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Western Harnett, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-1 defeat against Triton on the 15th.
