Volleyball Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

Manual was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Alameda Pirates. The Thunderbolts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Manual started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-19.

Daniela Tucker paced Manual's offense, picking up two kills. Tucker got some help from Emma Martinez and her four assists. Savannah Hogarth controlled things from the service line, finishing with ten aces.

Manual's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alameda, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Manual wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Jefferson on the 2nd. As for Alameda, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Wheat Ridge on the 3rd.
