West Warwick's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the South Kingstown Rebels 8-7. The Wizards haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Reagan Motta and Grace Gallo did most of the damage at the plate: Motta went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Gallo went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sophia Moreira, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

West Warwick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Kingstown only posted a batting average of .214.

The win got West Warwick back to even at 4-4. As for South Kingstown, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Warwick will face off against Chariho at 4:45 p.m. on the 30th. As for South Kingstown, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 loss against Toll Gate on the 22nd.
