Immokalee was the 9-0 winner over Westminster Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Immokalee Indians fell 5-1 to the Westminster Academy Lions on Friday. The Indians' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Immokalee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Westminster Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Immokalee will be taking part in a tournament against Doral Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Doral Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Immokalee surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westminster Academy, they will take on Fort Myers in a tournament on Friday. Westminster Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Fort Myers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
