Baseball Recap: Peak to Peak Victorious

Peak to Peak proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 15) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the La Junta Tigers 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Pumas, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ryder Greene was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Drew Kraft was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Peak to Peak's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for La Junta, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peak to Peak will venture away from home to square off against The Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pumas are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for La Junta, they will square off against Lamar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Thunder have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
