Recap: Council Lumberjacks vs. Horseshoe Bend Mustangs
The Council Lumberjacks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 56-49 win over Horseshoe Bend. The win was a breath of fresh air for Council as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Treyven Bauer, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds. Bauer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kaelun Jones, who scored 12 points.
Council's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Horseshoe Bend, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Council will take on Cascade at 7:31 p.m. on Saturday. As for Horseshoe Bend, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garden Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
