Basketball Recap: Jefferson West Extends Winning Streak to Three

Jefferson West extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brynlee Koontz. The Tigers claimed a resounding 87-15 victory over the McLouth Bulldogs with plenty of help from Koontz, who almost dropped a triple-double with 30 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Jefferson West's points.

Emmie Dean was another key player, putting up 13 points and six steals. Dean is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Jefferson West's record is now 3-0. As for McLouth, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jefferson West will take on Royal Valley in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLouth and Perry-Lecompton will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
