Volleyball Recap: River Mill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If River Mill was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Discovery Charter School on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clover Garden School Grizzlies on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Grizzlies: they've now lost six in a row.

River Mill was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Clover Garden School work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 27-25, 20-25, 25-18.

Savanna Dishmon paced River Mill's offense, picking up ten kills. Dishmon got some help from Emma Honeycutt and her 13 assists. Rachel Osborne controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

River Mill now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Clover Garden School, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

River Mill has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Southern Wake Academy on the 25th. As for Clover Garden School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Chatham Charter on the 25th.
