Volleyball Recap: Ascend Leadership Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Southern Wake Academy on Tuesday, Ascend Leadership came back down to earth. The Aviators lost 3-0 to the Woods Charter Wolves on Thursday. The Aviators haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-8.

Bella Browning paced Ascend Leadership's offense, picking up seven kills. Browning were helped by Grace Mehall and Ella Canoy, who contributed three assists each. Lola Walls controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Woods Charter found their leader in freshman Lauren Castro, who had seven digs and two aces.

Ascend Leadership now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Woods Charter, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Ascend Leadership wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Riverside Christian Academy on the 30th. As for Woods Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Southern Wake Academy on the 26th.
