Basketball Recap: Lake Lure Classical Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Pinnacle Classical Academy

It's playoff time, and Lake Lure Classical Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 53-40 win over the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Raptors: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 43-41 loss.

D Watkins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8-for-11 to rack up 19 points and six assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (73%). Ashawn Camp was another key player, going 6-for-12 on his way to 16 points.

When it comes to explaining why Pinnacle Classical Academy lost, don't look at Cody Humphries. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards. Humphries is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Braylon Gentry, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Lure Classical Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-11. As for Pinnacle Classical Academy, their record is now 16-7.
