Basketball Game Preview: East Buchanan Bulldogs vs. Lafayette County Huskers

The East Buchanan Bulldogs and the Lafayette County Huskers will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

East Buchanan is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were dealt a 52-24 loss at the hands of Lathrop. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Mules are ranked 106th).

Meanwhile, Lafayette County lost 60-37 to South Harrison on Tuesday.

East Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Lafayette County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

East Buchanan was able to grind out a solid win over Lafayette County in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 43-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Buchanan since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
