Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Warriors vs. Tea Titans

The Washington Warriors will face off against the Tea Titans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Washington will be strutting in after a victory while Tea will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Washington got the win against Huron by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won eight in a row.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 25-22.

Washington can attribute much of their success to Emily Akkerman, who had 21 assists and nine digs. Aubrielle Perry also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Meanwhile, Tea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Lennox.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-20, 25-18.

Tea's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Washington took their win against Tea in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
