Football Recap: Fort Bend Clements Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fort Bend Clements extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-6. They were outmatched by the Ridge Point Panthers and fell 70-0. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 846th, while the Panthers are ranked 17th).

Trey Rivera threw for 30 yards on four of 14 attempts. On the ground, George Jreissaty rushed for 35 yards.

As for Ridge Point, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.6 points on average this season.

Leading Ridge Point to victory were Aiden Akins and Brody Bartee. Akins rushed for 110 yards and three scores on only nine carries, while Bartee threw for 157 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Bartee is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Fort Bend Clements wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 44-12 loss against Fort Bend Elkins on the 30th. As for Ridge Point, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 44-6 win against Fort Bend Hightower on the 30th.
