Volleyball Recap: Venture Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Venture Academy waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Titans as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Venture Academy was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-21.

Sarah Wegner paced Venture Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Wegner got some help from Emy Sinclair and her nine assists. Sinclair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

The win got Venture Academy back to even at 10-10. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Venture Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 16th. As for Aspire Langston Hughes Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against River Islands on the 16th.
