Volleyball Recap: East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

East won the last time they faced Augusta and things went their way on Saturday too. The Aces walked away with a 2-0 win over the Orioles. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Aces as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

East not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Augusta between 14 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Claire Buss paced East's offense, picking up 14 kills. Buss got some help from Birdie Buell and her 21 assists. Buss was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Augusta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7-2.

East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Trinity Academy on the 20th. As for Augusta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Circle on the 20th.
