Volleyball Recap: Seaside Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Seaside lost against Watsonville last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Wildcatz. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Seaside was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Watsonville work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 18-25, 27-25.

Despite the loss, Seaside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mikaela Villa had 20 digs and five assists. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Villa.

Seaside's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Watsonville, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Seaside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against North Monterey County on the 24th. Watsonville has also already played their next matchup (against Stevenson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
