Soccer Game Preview: Gardner-Edgerton vs. Shawnee Mission West

Gardner-Edgerton hasn't had much luck against Shawnee Mission West recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Gardner-Edgerton will host Shawnee Mission West at 7:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Thursday, Gardner-Edgerton didn't have quite enough to beat Olathe North and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Shawnee Mission West's season-opener on Friday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and Olathe Northwest finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Gardner-Edgerton came up short against Shawnee Mission West when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Gardner-Edgerton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
