Basketball Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge had won three straight games and Rena Rasmussen did her part to make it four on Friday. The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears came out on top against the Plattsmouth Blue Devils by a score of 66-58 thanks in part to Rasmussen, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 11 boards. Her evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lainey Schutte, who posted six points and five rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Plattsmouth, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-35 defeat against Wayne on the 28th. As for Plattsmouth, they will welcome Conestoga at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
