Basketball Recap: Wilson Prep's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wilson Prep extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Keontae Barron. The Wilson Prep Tigers blew past the North Edgecombe Warriors, posting an 83-56 victory thanks in part to Barron, who posted 13 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Qua Batts, who went 5 for 7 to rack up 13 points. Those 13 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why North Edgecombe lost on Wednesday, don't look at Jahmir Parker. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. Parker has become a key player for North Edgecombe: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyzir Mills, who put up 12 points along with eight assists and six boards.

Wilson Prep's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for North Edgecombe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
