Softball Preview: Ithaca Yellowjackets vs. Millington Cardinals
Ithaca is 0-4 against Millington since May of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets will head out to take on the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Ithaca will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
Ithaca had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Hemlock on Monday. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Huskies. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.

Ivy Davenport was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Ithaca let Maeli Akin and Kennedi Ryan run wild.
