Chase Weirich put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Monday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over six innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed two walks, which is notable because Owensville is undefeated when he allows at most two walks, but 2-4 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Weirich and Owensville will head out to square off against Chillicothe at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dutchmen will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 185 places lower in Missouri), but they're not letting that get them down.
