Volleyball Recap: North Central Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

North Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Stanley County Buffalos. The Thunder have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buffalos, too.

North Central easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18.

Amree VanderVorst paced North Central's offense, picking up eight kills. VanderVorst were helped by Ashton Heyne and Camryn Witlock, who contributed ten assists each. VanderVorst was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

North Central's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Stanley County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will take on Langford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stanley County, they will host Cheyenne-Eagle Butte at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
