Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Slidell). Everything went their way against the Chalmette Owls on Thursday as the Slidell Tigers made off with an 11-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The win snapped Slidell's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-8 record. As for Chalmette, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Slidell Tigers duke it out with Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Chalmette, they will head out to face off against Archbishop Chapelle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
