Meanwhile, Pojoaque Valley hadn't done well against Los Alamos recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Pojoaque Valley put the hurt on Los Alamos with a sharp 51-29 win. The Elks/Elkettes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

Pojoaque Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points per game.
