Basketball Preview: Hemingway Tigers vs. East Clarendon Wolverines

Hemingway is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Wolverines a 13-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Hemingway Tigers will take on the East Clarendon Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Hemingway came up short against the Eagles and fell 55-47.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jerel Hampton, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. He also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Omarion Burgess, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hemingway were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 14th loss (out of 16 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, East Clarendon was the victim of a tough 58-36 defeat at the hands of the Bears on Wednesday. East Clarendon has struggled against the Bears recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Hemingway ended up a good deal behind the Wolverines when the teams last played back in January, losing 69-55. Will Hemingway have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other basketball content.
