It was a good run, but Seton Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sentinels of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Steinkamp paced Seton Catholic's offense, picking up 11 kills. (Lizzie) Steinkamp got some help from Hannah Ostrowski and her 17 assists. Sophia (Phia) Fisher controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Seton Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Mountain Ridge, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Seton Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Queen Creek on the 27th. As for Mountain Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Village on the 27th.
