Baseball Recap: Fayette Academy Comes Up Short

Fayette Academy lost against Jackson Christian back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings lost 14-3 to the Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Hayden Fly made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Jared Ferge was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fayette Academy is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for Jackson Christian, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

While Fayette Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
