Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Teresa). They blew past the Milpitas Trojans 13-4 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Saints needed considering they were shut out in their previous   match.
 Peter Melendez looked comfortable as he  tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. What's more,  he posted two  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in March.
 On the hitting side, Santa Teresa let  Jordan Hsieh and  Isaiah Rivera run wild. Hsieh  scored a  run while going 1-for-3, while  Rivera  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3. That's the most  runs  Rivera has posted since back in March.
Santa Teresa's victory was  their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 8-7. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.1 runs over those games. As for Milpitas,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-12.
 Coming up, Santa Teresa will square off against Pioneer at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Milpitas, they will be playing at home against Los Altos  at 4:00  p.m.  on  the 23rd.
