Coal Ridge had won nine straight games and Ben Simons did his part to make it ten on Thursday. The Coal Ridge Titans strolled past the Rifle Bears with points to spare, taking the game 57-43 thanks to Simons, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played.

Isaac Thompson was another key player, putting up eight points. Those eight points gave him a new career-high.

Coal Ridge's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Rifle, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

As for Rifle, they will be playing at home against Basalt at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rifle is facing Basalt at the right time seeing as Basalt is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
