Baseball Game Preview: Enloe Eagles vs. Leesville Road Pride

Enloe is 0-10 against Leesville Road since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pride at 4:30 p.m.

Enloe is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 10-4 to Broughton.

Enloe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Prithu Neog, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Leesville Road entered their tilt with Sanderson on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They were the clear victors by an 18-1 margin over the Spartans. The Pride's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Avery Morton looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Landon Lewis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Hepp, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Leesville Road always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sanderson only posted an OBP of .286.

Leesville Road's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Enloe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
