Softball Recap: Clear Brook Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Clear Brook's offense. They came up short against the Deer Park Deer on Friday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Wolverines' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Clear Brook dropped their record down to 3-15 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Deer Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Brook is set to face off against their familiar foe Clear Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Deer Park will square off against rival Clear Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Deer 3.6, the Falcons 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
