Volleyball Recap: Austin Black Bears vs. James Clemens Jets
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bob Jones, Austin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the James Clemens Jets. For the Black Bears, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 loss the Jets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Austin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 28-26, 19-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-5.
Austin was led to victory by Avery Bailey and Charlie Barnes. Bailey had 13 digs, while Barnes had six digs.
