            Flag Football Recap: Laguna Creek Cardinals vs. Franklin Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Thursday just wasn't the day for Laguna Creek's offense. They took  a  13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Wildcats on Thursday. The Cardinals' loss continues a  trend for the  squad, making it three in a row.

 Even if they lost, Laguna Creek's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by  Ava Urbano and  Kloie Oliver, who racked up all six sacks between them. Urbano has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  sack the last four times she's  played.
 Franklin found their leader in freshman  Natalie Tucker, who rushed for 25 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 90 yards and one  TD while completing 81.2% of her passes.  Makenzie Jones got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Laguna Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Franklin, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 6-13.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Laguna Creek will  take on  rival Cosumnes Oaks  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Franklin is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Elk Grove  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
