Football Recap: Columbine Gets the Win + How To Watch

While Columbine's win against Heritage wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, the Rebels made off with a 14-13 victory over the Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mark Snyder, who rushed for 126 yards and one score. Ajay Gonzales helped out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Columbine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Heritage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamison Seese, who threw for 216 yards while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 34 yards.

Columbine picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Columbine and Heritage will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rebels are set to face off against their familiar foe Denver East at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. Meanwhile, Heritage will square off against rival Golden at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
