The Marshall Barristers will venture away from home to take on the Sonora Raiders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marshall's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Sonora's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
If Marshall beats Sonora with ten runs on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Barristers put the hurt on Bravo with a sharp 10-1 win on Friday. The Barristers haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Marshall got a massive performance out of Daniel Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Gonzalez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Freddy Hernandez-Robles, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Marshall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 4-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Sonora and Sunny Hills meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Raiders came out on top against the Lancers by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Chris Perez was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Perez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ryan Lietzau was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Sonora's record is now 12-8. As for Marshall, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
