Football Game Preview: DeWitt Panthers vs. Holt Rams + How To Watch

DeWitt has gone a perfect 6-0 against Holt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Holt will be up against a hot DeWitt squad: the team just extended their winning streak to five. The Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat East Lansing 58-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 14th, while the Trojans are ranked 88th).

Traverse Moore was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 250 yards and six TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Those six rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Moore was just one part of a punishing run game: DeWitt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 342 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Lansing only rushed for nine.

Meanwhile, Holt took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over Okemos. Considering the Rams have won three games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

DeWitt's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Holt, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for DeWitt against Holt in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 64-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
